Japanese Bobtail (short coat) : : Female : : Adult : : Medium
Cosette is a wonderful young cat, at about 1 ½ years old. Cosette was named after the character in Les Miserable because when she was rescued she was a bit scraggly looking and had a sad story. She went in to the shelter with 3 kittens…unfortunately only one of her kittens survived. She was skinny, afraid, trying to get over the trauma of losing 2 kittens, and fiercely protective of her one surviving kitten. Despite the rough start, she turned out to be a very caring cat and took in an orphaned kittens and cared for them as if they were her own. Cosette is a Japanese Bobtail and has displayed some very acrobatic jumping skills, twisting midair to catch a toy. She can be shy but inquisitive. If you give her time, she will come to you for pets however she does enjoy a sense of independence. She does like catnip laced toys! Cosette does like to pounce & jump and can play a bit rough so it is best she finds an experienced cat person without young children. She is OK with other adult cats and a small dog if introduced slowly and properly over time. Cosette deserves a nice tall cat condo, a scratching board of her own, and a person of her own. Adoption fee is $100. All cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested for FIV/FELV and microchipped. More about CosetteGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids
