Prince is a shy, timid, gentle pup who was born to a stray mama in the care of a homeless couple in Downtown San Jose. He spent his first four months living in a camper van with the couple and their four existing dogs. Given their circumstances, they were unable to give him the care he needed, and approached Prince's current foster to help find him a good home.

Prince's foster family says he is just as sweet as pie, although still very timid around people. Prince bonds quickly to his person, whomever he believes that to be, and enjoys showering them with stinky puppy breath kisses every chance he gets. He loves to snuggle and is working on gaining confidence with people and other dogs.

Though his original human parents didn’t have much to give Prince, they showered him with love and took good care of him.  Prince got a perfectly clean bill of health when his foster mom took him to the vet. We think Prince and his sister, Pepper, have two different dads. Pepper is much more MinPin and Prince is more Rat Terrier. In any case, they're both simply adorable.

Because of Prince's humble beginnings, he's experiencing many sights and sounds for the first time. His foster family says that, in just a few short weeks, he's grown more confident as he goes out into the world. Prince still has a ways to go when it comes to moving past his scaredy cat, uncertain, wallflower ways, but he'll get there with patience and a loving example.
